DESCRIPTION:
gpt-author is an experimental AI writing notebook that generates original fantasy novels from a user prompt. It combines planning, chapter generation, cover prompt creation, and EPUB compilation into one workflow. The system first creates possible plots, selects and improves a strong direction, extracts a title, and builds a chapter-by-chapter storyline. It then writes each chapter while considering the plot and the previous chapter context. The project includes GPT-based notebooks, a newer Claude 3 notebook, example outputs, and instructions for running in Google Colab or a local Jupyter environment. It is useful as a creative AI writing experiment for long-form generation, storytelling pipelines, and automated e-book prototyping.
Features
- Prompt-to-novel generation
- Plot selection and improvement
- Chapter outline creation
- Sequential chapter writing
