DESCRIPTION:
Seeker is a proof-of-concept tool that demonstrates how malicious websites can trick users into sharing precise geolocation and device data. It highlights the security risks of granting location access carelessly.
Features
- Hosts a fake page to request location permissions
- Collects GPS longitude, latitude, and accuracy
- Gathers device details like OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, and screen resolution
- Retrieves IP addresses (public and local) and performs reconnaissance
- Uses Canvas Fingerprinting for unique device identification
- Works best with smartphones but falls back to IP geolocation on other devices
