Deoptigate is a Node.js performance-analysis tool for investigating V8 function optimizations and deoptimizations. It can run a Node.js application with the necessary V8 logging enabled or analyze existing V8 log files. Results are presented through an interactive browser interface rather than raw diagnostic output. The report summarizes optimizations, deoptimizations, and inline cache activity for each source file. Source code is annotated with severity-based markers that highlight potential performance problems. Selecting a marker reveals more detailed information about the corresponding V8 event. It is intended for developers diagnosing JavaScript performance issues caused by V8's speculative optimization behavior.
