DESCRIPTION
Brace is a Browserify-compatible distribution of the Ace code editor designed for bundling directly into browser applications. It restructures Ace so modes, themes, workers, keybindings, snippets, and extensions can be imported as modules. Supported Web Workers are inlined into the generated bundle instead of requiring separate worker files on a web server. Language modes automatically include the workers they depend on, simplifying application configuration. If a browser cannot run the inlined worker, the editor continues functioning without error and warning annotations. Brace also includes modular TypeScript definitions for typed imports. Its API and paths remain intentionally similar to Ace, making migration straightforward for applications already familiar with the editor.
