DeskBrightness
DESCRIPTION
DeskBrightness turns your Android phone into a wireless ambient light sensor. It reads your phone's light sensor over ADB and automatically adjusts your Windows monitor brightness in real time — no extra hardware needed.
Most desktop PCs lack a built-in ambient light sensor. DeskBrightness fills this gap by using your phone's existing sensor, bringing adaptive brightness to any setup: desktop towers, multi-monitor workstations, or laptops with external displays.
The brightness curve is calibrated to match human eye perception using a logarithmic mapping, with configurable sensitivity, smoothing, and hysteresis. It supports both DDC/CI (direct monitor control) and WMI fallback for laptops. Connection is via USB or wireless ADB debugging.
This is an application that can also be fetched from https://sourceforge.net/projects/deskbrightness/. It has been hosted in OnWorks in order to be run online in an easiest way from one of our free Operative Systems.
