DESCRIPTION

SD Core is a multivalue string database for Windows and Linux: files, fields, values and subvalues, with the SD BASIC language and the SD TCL command processor.

The Windows version is a native Windows port - a real Windows service, Windows accounts and groups, and no POSIX layer to install. Free software under the GPL, and everything ships buildable from source.

The Linux version is a native Linux build - a systemd service, Linux accounts
and groups. Both ports are based on the same historical GPL release.

The two versions, Windows and Linux, are similar but have differences based on what is best for each operating system. In the future, the Linux releases will happen more often and have more features. The intent is that the Windows release will achieve parity and each major release, 1.0, 2.0, etc.
