DESCRIPTION


Describes the state and properties of LoadBalancers

ARGUMENTS


LoadBalancerNames
List of LoadBalancers to describe. Not specifying describes all
LoadBalancers owned by the AWS Account.

SPECIFIC OPTIONS


--marker VALUE
Pagination marker returned from previous call, used to describe the next
set of LoadBalancers.

GENERAL OPTIONS


--aws-credential-file VALUE
Location of the file with your AWS credentials. This value can be set by
using the environment variable 'AWS_CREDENTIAL_FILE'.

-C, --ec2-cert-file-path VALUE
Location of the file with your EC2 X509 certificate. This value can be
set by using the environment variable 'EC2_CERT'.

--connection-timeout VALUE
Specify a connection timeout VALUE (in seconds). The default value is
'30'.

--delimiter VALUE
What delimiter to use when displaying delimited (long) results.

--headers
If you are displaying tabular or delimited results, it includes the
column headers. If you are showing xml results, it returns the HTTP
headers from the service request, if applicable. This is off by default.

-I, --access-key-id VALUE
Specify VALUE as the AWS Access Id to use.

-K, --ec2-private-key-file-path VALUE
Location of the file with your EC2 private key. This value can be set by
using the environment variable 'EC2_PRIVATE_KEY'.

--region VALUE
Specify region VALUE as the web service region to use. This value can be
set by using the environment variable 'EC2_REGION'.

-S, --secret-key VALUE
Specify VALUE as the AWS Secret Key to use.

--show-empty-fields
Show empty fields and rows, using a "(nil)" value. The default is to not
show empty fields or columns.

--show-request
Displays the URL the tools used to call the AWS Service. The default
value is 'false'.

--show-table, --show-long, --show-xml, --quiet
Specify how the results are displayed: tabular, delimited (long), xml, or
no output (quiet). Tabular shows a subset of the data in fixed
column-width form, while long shows all of the returned values delimited
by a character. The xml is the raw return from the service, while quiet
suppresses all standard output. The default is tabular, or 'show-table'.

-U, --url VALUE
This option will override the URL for the service call with VALUE. This
value can be set by using the environment variable 'AWS_ELB_URL'.

Describes the state and properties of all the user's LoadBalancers $PROMPT>
elb-describe-lbs --headers

Describes the state and properties of the specified LoadBalancers $PROMPT>
elb-describe-lbs --headers --lbs example-lb1,example-lb2

OUTPUT


This command returns a table that contains the following:
* NAME - LoadBalancer name.
* DNS_NAME - DNS name of the LoadBalancer.
* CANONICAL_HOSTED_ZONE_NAME - Route53 alias target name of the
LoadBalancer. This column appears only in the --show-long view.
* CANONICAL_HOSTED_ZONE_NAME_ID - Route53 alias target hosted zone ID of the
LoadBalancer. This column appears only in the --show-long view.
* HEALTH_CHECK - Configured healthcheck for the LoadBalancer. This column
appears only in the --show-long view.
* AVAILABILITY_ZONES - Configured Availability zones for the LoadBalancer.
This column appears only in the --show-long view.
* SUBNETS - Subnets the LoadBalancer is attached to. This column appears
only in the --show-long view.
* VPC_ID - ID of the VPC the LoadBalancer is attached to. This column
appears only in the --show-long view.
* INSTANCE_ID - Instances registered to the LoadBalancer. This column
appears only in the --show-long view.
* LISTENER_DESCRIPTIONS - Configured Listener port/protocol configurations
for the LoadBalancer. This column appears only in the --show-long view.
* BACKEND_SERVER_DESCRIPTIONS - Configurations of the LoadBalancer for
backend servers. This column appears only in the --show-long view.
* APP_COOKIE_STICKINESS_POLICIES - Session stickiness policies for the
LoadBalancer based on application-issued cookies. This column appears only
in the --show-long view.
* LB_COOKIE_STICKINESS_POLICIES - Session stickiness policies for the
LoadBalancer based on load-balancer-issued cookies. This column appears only
in the --show-long view.
* OTHER_POLICIES - Other policies for the LoadBalancer. Use
elb-describe-lb-policies to see their details. This column appears only in
the --show-long view.
* SOURCE_SECURITY_GROUP - EC2 security group associated with the
LoadBalancer. This column appears only in the --show-long view.
* SECURITY_GROUPS - VPC security groups assigned to the LoadBalancer. This
column appears only in the --show-long view.
* CREATED_TIME - Time the LoadBalancer was created.
* SCHEME - Load balancing scheme used for the LoadBalancer.
* PAGINATION_MARKER - Marker for retrieving the remaining LoadBalancers.
