Wine is a way to run Windows software on Linux, but with no Windows required. Wine is an open-source Windows compatibility layer that can run Windows programs directly on any Linux desktop. Essentially, Wine is trying to re-implement enough of Windows from scratch so that it can run all those Windows applications without actually needing Windows.

Mixtrag is a universal packet generator.

The aim is provide possibility to generate any type of packet (not only IP/TCP/UDP) and let users to easily add support for new types of protocols.

The primary input source for this tool are XML files.
Additional flexibility and extensibility is provided to the application by means of Perl scripts
and user-configurable XML templates of network protocols.
