DESCRIPTION
ClaudioBar VlV is a native macOS menu bar utility that shows how much of your current Claude Code 5-hour session you've used, and lets you configure the sounds and shell actions that fire as you approach your limits.
It does not compute usage itself — there is no public API for that. A companion Python script, run from Claude Code's statusLine hook, tracks usage and writes it to a small local JSON file. ClaudioBar VlV just reads that file to display live status, and writes the alert configuration that same script reads on every tick.
No network calls, no telemetry, no dependency on Claude Code or Anthropic's API directly — everything happens through two local JSON files in ~/Library/Application Support/ClaudioBarVLv/.
Requirements: macOS 13 Ventura or later, and a Claude Code statusLine script that writes usage-state.json (not included in this project).
Current build is ad-hoc signed only — not Developer ID signed, not notarized. macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning on first
