Lightline.vim is a lightweight and highly configurable statusline (and tabline) plugin for Vim. While Vim ships with a built-in statusline that gives basic info (filename, cursor position, etc), Lightline dramatically upgrades the look and feel and the customisability of that bar at the bottom of your editor.
