dastoryboard

DESCRIPTION

A storyboard software that lets you draw storyboard pads, time them and show them as an animatic.
You can make a video from the pads, for further editing and production. ffmpeg must be installed, if you want to export video.

The current version is very basic. Plans for further development is outlined in the README file.

dastoryboard is developed and tested under Linux. It should be possible to compile and run it under Windows and MacOS as well, but it hasn't been tested, and I don't want to be bothered with it, for the time being.

Features

  • Version 1.2:
  • Create new storyboard project
  • Add scenes to the project
  • Add shots to the scenes
  • Set individual timing for the storyboard pads
  • Move pads freely left or right
  • Define up to five pens with color and width
  • Use autonumbering for the pads, or number them your self
  • Watch the drawings in sequence as animatic
  • Export animatic to video (.mpg or .ogv)(ffmpeg must be installed)
  • Export drawings for producing your own video file
  • Play audio in sync with animatic before export to video (ffplay must be installed)
