Glitch Client
DESCRIPTION
Glitch-client is the source code for the original Flash-based client for Glitch, the MMO game developed by Tiny Speck. It includes the user interface, display logic, game logic client-side (in AS3), asset handling and communication with servers. The client handles rendering the game world, inventory, avatars, locations, games etc., via the Flash client. The client code was later released as part of the asset archive after the game shut down.
Features
- ActionScript 3 based client logic for Glitch MMO (avatar, movement, environments etc.)
- UI, rendering, input handling in the Flash/AS3 paradigm for game scenes and interactions
- Asset loading and display: integrating graphics/animations, locations, items etc. in the client view
- Networking / protocol logic to sync with game servers, update game state etc. (though server code is separate)
- Use of the content/data from other “Glitch” repos (items, avatars, locations) to populate game world and visuals
- Design for browser-Flash execution (i.e. as a SWF run in browsers) and interactions suited to MMO/game environment (menus, chat, etc.)
Programming Language
ActionScript
